Cancellation Policy

Pencil Industries Private Limited (“Pencil Industries”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) understands that customers may sometimes need to cancel an order.
This Cancellation Policy explains how customers can request cancellation of orders placed through our website.
Nothing in this policy is intended to restrict or remove any mandatory consumer right or remedy available under applicable Indian law.
1. Requesting Order Cancellation
Customers who wish to cancel an order should contact us as soon as possible after placing the order.
Please provide:
- Order number;
- Customer name;
- Registered mobile number;
- Email address used for the order; and
- Reason for cancellation, where requested.

2. Cancellation Before Dispatch
If an order has not yet been dispatched, we will make reasonable efforts to process the cancellation request.
Because we aim to dispatch orders within 3 days from the date the order is generated/confirmed, customers should contact us as soon as possible if they wish to cancel.
If the cancellation is successfully processed after payment has been received, the applicable refund will be initiated through the appropriate payment method.
3. Cancellation After Dispatch
Once an order has been dispatched to the courier or logistics partner, cancellation may no longer be operationally possible.
In such circumstances, the customer may need to receive the product and, where eligible, use the applicable return/refund process.

4. Refund for Cancelled Orders
Where an order is successfully cancelled and a refund is applicable, the refund will generally be processed through the original payment method or another appropriate method communicated by Pencil Industries.
The time taken for the refunded amount to appear in the customer’s bank account, card account or other payment account may depend on the payment gateway, bank or financial institution.
Pencil Industries is not responsible for delays caused solely by the customer’s bank or payment service provider.
5. Cancellation by Pencil Industries
Pencil Industries Private Limited may cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including circumstances such as:
- Product becoming unavailable;
- Incorrect or obvious pricing/listing errors;
- Incorrect or incomplete customer information;
- Suspected fraudulent or unauthorised transactions;
- Payment or transaction verification problems;
- Technical or system errors;
- Delivery restrictions;
- Events beyond our reasonable control; or
- Other circumstances permitted under applicable law.
If payment has already been received for an order that we cancel, the applicable amount will be refunded through the appropriate payment method.
6. Cancellation Charges
We will not impose a cancellation charge merely because a customer exercises a consumer right where applicable law prohibits such a charge.
Where a cancellation-related charge is legally permissible and applicable to a particular transaction, it will be disclosed clearly before or at the relevant stage of the transaction.
7. Refused or Undelivered Orders
If a customer refuses delivery or an order cannot be delivered because of incorrect or incomplete customer information, the shipment may be returned to Pencil Industries.
Such circumstances may be handled under our shipping, return and refund procedures.
Where a refund is applicable, it will be processed after the relevant order and logistics circumstances have been reviewed.
8. Promotional Orders
If an order was placed using a promotional offer, discount or other special pricing arrangement, cancellation and refund may be subject to the terms of that particular promotion, provided those terms are consistent with applicable Indian law.
9. Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Cancellation Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or waive any consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded or restricted under Indian law.
Where applicable law provides a customer with a right or remedy that differs from this policy, the applicable law will prevail.
